Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited epic ‘Ramayana’ is generating significant buzz not only among audiences but also in the trade circles. According to recent reports, Telugu producer and distributor Dil Raju is in discussions to acquire the film’s theatrical distribution rights for the Telugu states. The proposed deal is reportedly valued at around ₹105 crore.
The film has already attracted considerable attention because of its scale, ambitious visual presentation and high-profile cast. Ranbir Kapoor leads the project, while Kannada superstar Yash plays a major role. The combination has given the film strong visibility across different regional markets, with the Telugu theatrical business emerging as another key area of interest for distributors.
The movie has also recorded a notable deal for its music. T-Series has officially confirmed an advance payment of ₹75 crore for the music rights covering both parts of the epic. Against this backdrop, the reported ₹105 crore Telugu theatrical proposal further reflects the commercial expectations surrounding the project. However, the Dil Raju deal is currently understood to be under negotiation and has not been officially announced as completed.
